Before a ship sails for the vast sea, it needs a destination.
Otherwise it will end up driving in circles, run out of gas and eventually get lost. Driving a 4 ton water craft into wavy waters is almost as hard as losing weight in this world full of delicious chocolates.
Some claim success in losing weight depends on the workout, the nutrition and everything physical. I say, it's purely emotional. The key is to find the missing motivational, "reason" of why we want to lose weight. Only this fuel which can ignite our passion and propel us to losing 20 pounds in 20 days. So before you start your routine of 50 push ups and 100 sit ups a day, and celery for lunch, ask your Self this, "why do I want to lose weight?"
If living healthier and longer does not motivate you, do it for love. It could be, "I want to lose weight because my girlfriend is hot and I want to look good next to her," Or, "I want to get a hot boyfriend in 2013." You could also motivate yourself because you want to fit in your favorite jeans which the washing machine shrunk by accident. Whatever it may be, make sure you glorify it by posting your visionary goal on your refrigerator, your i-phone and your mirror with lipstick.
Only after you have the vision, now you are ready to eat less, workout in your dance fitness class with jingly hip scarves and sweat the fat away. Ask your vision to fast forward you through every pizza hut commercial which tries to distract you in their unlimited toppings for $10 deals. For the weak, which succumb to the illusion of taking breaks and giving in a little, will be doomed for failure. For the mentally strong, who stay on track and see the glory of the fruits of their labor will survive. It is not a question about who can lift the most weight or the person who can run the most, it's about a mental challenge within yourself.
The only forecast is seeing the light at the end of the tunnel. Visualize your Goal of your own sunny island, the palm trees, and the margarita waiting for you under the shade and enjoy your smooth sailing. Follow the rainbow and you will do not lose sight until you reach the pot of your own gold which is ultimately your health.
