Your Vision Is Your Key in Losing Weight

Before a ship sails for the vast sea, it needs a destination.
Otherwise it will end up driving in circles, run out of gas and eventually get lost. Driving a 4 ton water craft into wavy waters is almost as hard as losing weight in this world full of delicious chocolates.
Some claim success in losing weight depends on the workout, the nutrition and everything physical. I say, it's purely emotional. The key is to find the missing motivational, "reason" of why we want to lose weight. Only this fuel which can ignite our passion and propel us to losing 20 pounds in 20 days. So before you start your routine of 50 push ups and 100 sit ups a day, and celery for lunch, ask your Self this, "why do I want to lose weight?"

If living healthier and longer does not motivate you, do it for love. It could be, "I want to lose weight because my girlfriend is hot and I want to look good next to her," Or, "I want to get a hot boyfriend in 2013." You could also motivate yourself because you want to fit in your favorite jeans which the washing machine shrunk by accident. Whatever it may be, make sure you glorify it by posting your visionary goal on your refrigerator, your i-phone and your mirror with lipstick.

Only after you have the vision, now you are ready to eat less, workout in your dance fitness class with jingly hip scarves and sweat the fat away. Ask your vision to fast forward you through every pizza hut commercial which tries to distract you in their unlimited toppings for $10 deals. For the weak, which succumb to the illusion of taking breaks and giving in a little, will be doomed for failure. For the mentally strong, who stay on track and see the glory of the fruits of their labor will survive. It is not a question about who can lift the most weight or the person who can run the most, it's about a mental challenge within yourself.

The only forecast is seeing the light at the end of the tunnel. Visualize your Goal of your own sunny island, the palm trees, and the margarita waiting for you under the shade and enjoy your smooth sailing. Follow the rainbow and you will do not lose sight until you reach the pot of your own gold which is ultimately your health.

Muscle Building: The Best Way to Lose Fat

Nutrition provides 60 to 70 percent of your body transformation goals, whether your goal is losing fat or muscle building.

There is a misconception that simply being skinny means you're healthy. This couldn't be further from the truth. Being thin doesn't necessarily mean you're in good shape. You can carry a few extra pounds and be healthy if you follow a good nutrition plan and a fitness regimen that involves muscle building.

You see professional athletes, like NFL and NBA players and assume that they don't eat a lot. Quite the contrary. In fact, they eat a lot just so they can maintain their weight and perform at an elite level. And that's combining time practicing their sport and working six days a week, at least in their off season.

But I know what you're thinking,
"I have a full-time job, school, family, and PTA! I don't have time to work out four to six times a week and monitor my nutrition to lose fat."

It's okay to think that. And it's realistic. Nobody expects you to eat 24/7 and spend all of your waking hours in a gym. That's not life! However, you can still have a healthy lifestyle and feel good about yourself (not to mention be less stressed out) by merely adjusting your eating habits and workout routine. But first, we have to attack one of the biggest health and fitness habits out there...

"The only way to lose fat is by doing countless hours of cardio and eating light."
Wrong answer! Personal trainers will tell you that the best way to lose fat and feeling good is to eat more (and smart) and incorporate a muscle building program.

"But I don't want to build muscle. If I lift weights, I'll get too big."

But merely lifting weights doesn't mean you're going to end up looking like a professional bodybuilder. Lifting weights can give you the sleek and toned body you've been craving. Engaging your muscles and working them on a regular basis forces your body to burn another source of energy... fat. If you run on the treadmill for an hour a day and don't engage your muscles, then your body will use the easiest source of fuel to burn, which is muscle. Your body burns muscle easier that fat, but if your muscles are engaged, then your body can't burn it.

Now, there are a ton of ways to feed your body during a muscle building program or lifestyle. But whichever diet you choose, you have to keep your caloric intake in check.
In order to make muscle building part of your lifestyle, you have to treat "diet" like a bad four-letter word. Diets are temporary and indicate that there is an end. This is one of the biggest pitfalls in fitness and nutrition. But in muscle building, life itself is the end game.

Your nutrition program should be a choice you follow for the rest of your life. The best thing to do is do as much research as you can from legitimate sources.

But one thing you'll see when researching for your nutrition, is organic. This is a good general rule to follow as organic foods, while pricy, are the healthier way to go because they are natural.
Another general rule you'll find, is if it comes in a box, it's man made and therefore, bad for you. Stick to perishable foods. If there's no expiration date, stay away from it.
And last, protein is the building block of muscle building. Protein feeds your muscles thus you lose fat.

When people hear about protein, they automatically associate it with meat, poultry, and fish. As much protein as these foods contain, doesn't mean vegetarians should give up on protein consumption. There are a myriad of different sources of protein including, beans and protein powder.

So the important elements to take away are that muscle building is the optimum way to lose fat, and make sure to keep your protein intake high.

Eat These Veggies to Burn Fat!

Would you believe that you can actually burn fat by eating certain vegetables? It is true! The more you learn about nutrition and how to eat, the faster you can get rid of those ugly love handles and get a flat, firm, stomach!

Did you know that you burn fat when you drink ice water? Well, it is actually true, and is just one of many things that I have learned in my quest for the body I had when I was 18!
As we age it becomes harder for us to lose weight as our hormones in our bodies are not being produced in the same amounts as when we were young. I used to be able to lose five pounds by just cutting sweets out of my diet, but now it takes a lot more effort! I have been trying to educate myself on eating and how to exercise to lose weight and become more toned up overall and of course, to have a flat firm stomach!

We have many things such as certain chemicals in our food supply and environment that have hormonal effects on our bodies. This problem can increased belly fat in both men and women! These chemicals have an estrogenic effect inside our bodies.

So what do you do to avoid eating food that is supposed to be good for you, fresh fruits and vegetables that have been exposed to pesticides, herbicides and petrochemicals? The world we live in today, even if you are buying organic food (and spending the extra money for it) it is almost impossible that you don't pick up at least some degree of daily exposure. These chemicals are even in our cleaning products and cosmetics!

Try starting with eating these vegetables. They will help you to lose stomach fat and promote lean muscle growth. One of the most powerful classes of veggies that promote fat loss are vegetables such as cauliflower, broccoli, kale, brussel sprouts, and cabbage. These vegetables are used in many cultures and are also known as "cross vegetables" as they grow in the form of a cross!

This is just a preview of a different approach that I have learned from my associate who is a certified nutritionist and personal trainer. If you hate exercise and diets, you can certainly obtain and be happy with the way your body looks without them. Here is some more strange things I have learned:
Doing sit ups and crunches are not the most effective exercise for a flat and firm tummy! How is that for Good News!! A short, full body exercise program can be much more effective.

I hope this article has given you some insight and inspiration to go ahead and get your six pack abs!
I came across this book called the 31 Day Fat Loss Diet or How to get 6 pack abs. I went ahead and purchased it, and I am so glad I did. It made what I eat and how I exercise change forever! Go to my blog and fill out the form with your first name and email. I will send you a complimentary e-book and some messages about getting your body toned up!

Does Cardio Work on An Empty Stomach?

This is another myth about working out and most people don't know the right answer.
When I started working out for the very first time many years ago, one of the most widespread theories about working out was that doing cardio on an empty stomach in the morning would burn fat 3 times faster.

After sleeping for about 6 to 8 hours at night your glycogen level reduces since your body needs it for various body functions. The theory is if you do cardio in the morning while fasted, your belly fat will be burnt instead of carbohydrate store. However, this theory is more like a myth than reality.

If you think logically you will understand that doing cardio in the morning while fasted will make you nauseous. You will feel like throwing up or passing out and I can bet you would not want to feel like this while working out. Besides, most people can't perform optimally in the morning with low energy levels in the morning. If you are a morning person, you can try it out, but if you are a night owl you'll be just having hard times in waking up in the morning and workout.

I admit that sometimes you can reduce tummy fat in the morning while you are in a fasted state, but there is a risk that you might lose your muscles as well which you achieved after working so hard. And if you are going to do intense cardio which requires a lot of energy and stamina, it's going to be tough for you to continue while in a fasted state.

So When It Should Be Done?

In most cases working out in the morning is recommended because it's going to prevent you from making unnecessary excuses to stay away from workouts during other times of the day. If you workout in the morning you are more likely to end up doing workout in the later parts of the day as well. Besides, you will feel fresh and can focus on your work if you breathe fresh air in the morning.

But if you are a night worker, then, waking up in the morning and working out isn't a good idea for you. You can have intense workout in the afternoon or early evening.

In case you are a morning person and want to do some hardcore cardio, never do it while in a fasted state. What you can do is eat some light breakfast containing protein and little amount of carbs and then workout. You can have your big breakfast after doing cardio.

Remember, doing cardio while fasted might cause more harm than good and I highly recommend avoiding it.
If you want to know more about it, search on the web or consult a local physician.

Can I Eat Before Going to Bed at Night?

The other day while I was working out at the gym, one of my friends looked very tired before he had even started. It was quite surprising because usually he is on top of her energy levels even after hardcore workout, but it was different on that day.

I asked him what's going on in his life and why he was looking so terribly tired. He told me he hadn't been eating dinner for the past 3 days since he had been having hard time in reducing tummy fat even after hours of workout. I instantly told him that he was doing all wrong. He then told me he read it somewhere that if he eats dinner before bed, all the carbs will be stored as belly fat in his body since he'll do nothing but sleep.

Why Is It Bad to Eat Before Sleeping?

This is another myth about weight loss and belly fat which is half true. If you think logically you are going to sleep for the next 8 hours and this won't require much energy. So most people will think eating before bed will increase their tummy fat. But this idea will be true if you eat junk and sugary food before bed. This is without any doubt that you will gain weight if you eat junk foods and I won't recommend it obviously. Sorry guys, no late night tasty sugary foods.

Another important thing is that if you don't eat anything for dinner or take any light snacks before bedtime, you won't be able to sleep well. Your blood sugar level will reduce significantly which won't let you sleep well. You will toss and turn around all the night and I can bet that no matter how long you stay in the bed like this your sleep quality will be down in the dumps. It's not the quantity of the sleep that's going to affect you rather it's the quality.

Your blood sugar will be low if you don't eat anything for dinner, on the other hand, if you eat too much before bedtime even if it's good, your sleep quality won't be good because your body will be busy in digesting those huge amount of food you just swallowed.

What Should I Eat Before Sleep?

What I do is eat dinner within 8pm and have my bedtime snack at around 10pm. Obviously I stay away from all kinds of junk and sugary food items. These items will do no good to me rather screw up my sleep and increase my tummy fat.

Usually I eat two tablespoons of my favorite almond butter before I hit the bed. This makes me feel full and I can sleep really well. Besides, it's quick and hassle-free. You don't need to prepare it; all you need to do is to take the almond butter jar and a spoon to eat it. You can eat other healthy and sugar-free items as well.

So, it's definitely not bad to eat before bed as long as you eat protein-enriched sugar-free healthy foods.

You can consult your trainer for more tips.

What Is the Best Weight Loss Method For You?

When it comes to losing weight, there are thousands of products and potions on the market today. In a recent study, the average person wanting to lose weight last year tried four different diet programs. At the end of those four attempts they gained an average of five pounds each. I hope that doesn't sound familiar to you but unfortunately, that is the norm in today's diet world. There are success stories on all of the main diet programs so something has to work. What will make you successful is to do your research and find out what the best weight loss plan for you is. Losing weight is truly a personal journey.

When choosing a diet program most people will choose one that promises great results with no effort on your part. It is advertised as a miracle cure for the best weight loss possible. All you really want is to lose weight with the least amount of effort. I think everyone would like something magical like that. Maybe you have fallen into that trap in the past. You have taken some little pill that you aren't quite for sure what is in it. Then you get on the scale every morning and pray to the digital numbers that they are lower than the day before. The prayers to the scale do about as much good as the little pill because the only thing you have lost is the money you have spent on the latest gimmick. This is clearly not the best weight loss plan for you.

Maybe you are a very structured type and the best weight loss plan tells you exactly what to eat and at what time. These type of plans are very beneficial to some people. I think it takes a certain type of person to follow a ridged schedule and be a food nazi. I, personally, could not live that type of life but for some this is a good solution. You can visit a dietitian for a master plan and then keep sticking to it month after month. You can also purchase structured plans like this on the internet. If structure is you best weight loss plan then these would be good options.

If you are a numbers type of person you might enjoy the plans that count calories or give a number system to food. I know people who have succeeded with these as this is the best weight loss plan for them. Every legitimate plan goes off of the scientific facts that you need to take in fewer calories then you burn to lose weight. With these type of programs you keep track of what you eat so that you know your number for the day is in the successful range so that you have the best weight loss results. Some people are organized and like keeping track of things like this and experience an enjoyable thinning journey.

For many others, the best weight loss program for them is one that they don't have to keep track of numbers or eat structured foods. Don't be fooled into thinking this is the same as the ones advertised as a miracle cure. There is no miracle in these type of plans. They just take the focus off of the food you eat and put it on the lifestyle you have and the goals you would like to reach. These programs challenge your way of thinking and living. They tend to have a higher rate of results and might be the best weight loss plan for you. Since weight loss is such a personal journey, you have to pick something that fits into your life.

Create A Nutritionally Sound Diet With These Tips

By Brian Thornton

Nutrition is nothing less than the science of keeping your body alive. Because nutrition plays such an important role in the quality and longevity of your life, it's very important to get good information. How can one sift through the material and get to the heart of the matter? Begin by learning the basic fundamentals. If you're prepared to take the first step, read on!

Healthy fats like Omega-3's are important to include in your diet everyday. Healthy fats do not include those found in french fries, onion rings and hamburgers. These items should not be eaten regularly. Instead, look to nuts, seeds, olive oil, and fish for healthy sources of fats.

You don't have to give up taste because you need to lower cholesterol. There are ways to prepare healthier versions of your favorite dishes, including lasagna. Make this dish with whole-grain pasta and lower-fat cheese. Use spinach and substitute some ground turkey for that ground beef. A few simple adjustments makes the dish much healthier.

Use mushrooms as filler in recipes that call for ground beef. Mushrooms are as filling as meat, but have almost no calories. Additionally, mushrooms provide lots of fiber and nutrients and help in the fight against cancer.

When traveling, keeping some healthy snacks, such as protein bars, packed in your bag is a great idea. It has become increasingly difficult to eat nutritionally in airports. Either you rush through security, wait on a flight, or sit hungry on a plane without food. Be sure to carry a few bars to hold you until you can eat a regular meal again.

Stay away from junk food to help keep yourself healthy. These foods include items that are processed, fried, oily, and contain lots of simple carbohydrates like sugar and starch.

If you want to try an interesting, but healthy, meal, canned salmon is what you should discover. This food has tons of minerals that help your body function properly. In addition, it doesn't have many fat or carbohydrates. Change up your diet daily so you can enjoy your food.

Try new and trendy recipes if you are planning on engaging in a new diet. You can make you own smoothies, healthy protein bars and homemade peanut butter. These are easy to make and good for you. Oatmeal pancakes is another healthy recipe that is easy to make.

Don't make a sudden overnight change, as this is likely to fail. You should list down the changes that you wish to make, then work on each list item, one at a time. Start with small goals and work your way up to the big ones.

One tip that will allow you to eat better is to have a time every day when you're going to eat and stick with it. This helps your body adjust to a schedule; being aware of meal times can prevent you from making unhealthy choices when you get hungry.

Foods high in zinc can facilitate recovery from illness. Zinc helps you feel better faster by bolstering your immune system, as well as helping you ward off future illness. Some of the foods that are highest in zinc are dark chocolate, cocoa powder, oysters, peanuts, crab and pumpkin seeds. These foods also contain some antioxidants.

If you wish to improve your diet and nutrition, begin gradually. Change is not something that you can force to happen immediately. Don't deter yourself from eating well by consuming foods you know you will hate. Try adding healthier items over a few weeks and eventually you will have developed a healthier habit.

As stated previously in this article, the right nutrition is essential to sustain life. There's a lot to know about nutrition, and that can be overwhelming. Start with the basics. Use the tips from this article to help improve your life.

Does the Cohen Diet Work?

By William Curtis Md

The Cohen weight loss program is an eating plan program aimed at specific blood work results to determine the most effective proportions of food types (Protein, Carbohydrate, Fat) for the individual patient. Brought to life by a South African cardiologist this diet implies that each individual carries a slightly different dependence on food types which explains why extreme diets models like Atkin's Diet (Low carbohydrate) or DASH (Low salt/fat) don't always give benefit to everyone.

The Cohen weight loss program is offered through clinics throughout South Africa and after this some in the states. You pay about $250 for the diet which doesn't include the special blood work and analysis. There aren't any supplments suggested or required.

Typically, I believe there's differences for every person. Some individuals get slimmer amazingly quickly on lower carb diets, others the progress is limited. I know of patients that actually slightly increased their carbohydrate portions and noticed improved energy and fat reduction.

The Cohen Diet plan certainly has some positive points, since it doesn't recommend stimulants and gimmicks towards weight reduction. It can also be flexibile for individual patient characteristics.

With that being said, the Cohen diet proponent site www.1stpersonaldiet.com has the following statement:

Warning: Beware of imitations!

Unfortunately, like with any good thing that works, many people over the years have tried to copy Dr. Cohen's work and eating program. All of them have failed because they do not have access to his years of research results and special analysis techniques. So please be careful about claims of "ours is similar to Dr. Cohen's program". Your health is not something to take a chance on!

As a physician, I do not rely on magic formulas. The body will certainly prefer certain combinations of foods. In reality, those requirements will fluctuate based upon stressors, illness, etc. Skip the fancy tests! Focus on limiting simple sugars, especially soda, beer, breads, cereals and processed food. (I've come across patients lose 15 pounds in a month by stopping soda)

Target regular eating of quality fats, good quality protein (Fish, Chicken, turkey, beef) coupled with every one of the fruits and veggies you desire. This approach allows folks to locate their very own balance as they assess their particular energy, body fat and emotional balance.

Real People Need Real Diets That Work

You've heard them all: "Lose a pound a day," "Drop five dress sizes in five days," or "Lose your belly with the Flat Belly Diet." The sales pitches are endless, and so are the number of people who have been burned. When it comes to weight loss gimmicks they've been around for decades.

Thanks to research, most of the latest diets are based on scientific research that provides healthy results without all the hype. These newer diets are not nearly as restrictive, and they give us plenty of information on how we gain weight and why we aren't able to lose it. That means you'll be much more likely to be successful with your weight loss goals.

The Weight Loss Connection Between The Mind And Body

The most significant awareness that recent dietary science has recognized is that individuals don't just eat too much for the love of food, or because they feel obligated to eat. Dietary science has shown that overeating occurs as a result of intricate relationships between physical and emotional need.

The number one reason there are so many overweight Americans is because we use food to fill an emotional void, which encompasses relationship issues, money worries, and even day to day stress, all of which drive us to find comfort foods.

Judith Beck, Psychologist and founder of the Beck Institute for Cognitive Therapy and Research, has a different concept for aiding dieters in their weight loss. It works by changing the way a person thinks about food.

Dr Beck, author of "The Beck Diet Plan," focuses on aiding overweight patients in transitioning them to think about food just like thin people do. Her diet lets patients keep eating those foods that are their favourites, while still losing weight. They can achieve this because of the cognitive change that takes place in the dieter that will stop them from overeating by presenting the reader with cognitive ways to stay away from emotional or stress related eating, thereby reshaping the dieting landscape.

How Instinct Play A Role In Eating

The authors Betty Sargent, and Susan Roberts of "The Instinct Diet: Use Your Five Food Instincts To Lose Weight and Keep It Off," have put together a valuable weight control book.
In their book they explain in detail how our bodies are programmed to keep us alive so we instinctively know we must eat. These deep seated instincts vary depending on the foods that are available, the diverse choices, how familiar we are with certain foods, and of course the calories. While this worked in early times, our world has changed and so have our foods making it harder for us to maintain our weight.

This diet reprograms people's instincts for healthier choices including a high fiber intake, non-calorie beverages, and eating three meals a day.

The diet last eight weeks, and while the first two weeks are quite restrictive, the remaining six weeks are quite easy providing significant food choices. At the end of the eight weeks you will be slimmer and have a different approach to eating.

If your goal is to lose weight and keep it off, you need more than a fad diet. You need to understand the emotional, instinctual, and psychological triggers related to eating, and then alter the way you eat so that you can achieve a healthier weight and lifestyle.

I hope these tips have been helpful for you in your weight loss efforts. If you are serious about losing weight the natural way without dangerous pills, supplements or fad diets be sure the check out the Ultimate Fat Loss Guide today at: http://ultimate-fat-loss-guide.com/

My Calorie Counter Is A Lifesaver!

Completely revamping your daily menu can be a daunting task especially if you are not accustomed to monitoring what you eat. That is why my calorie counter is a lifesaver and has truly helped me adopt the mindset of eating healthy choices and meals that are appropriately portion sized.

Take a moment to reflect on your current health and weight condition. Is losing weight a priority to you? Have you been unsuccessful in the past at becoming more fit? Possibly you have gained weight over the years attributed to eating fast food far too often every week, and are determined to make an actual change for the better.

Regardless of your reason, when you decide that losing weight is priority number one, the first step to take is to focus on the food you eat on a daily basis. This is specifically where my calorie counter is a lifesaver because it helps take away the mystery of what is in each and every meal that's set in front of me.

The point of this exercise is not for you to become a professional dietician and memorize the nutritional content of every item in your kitchen. That is not our goal here whatsoever. The reason why my calorie counter is a lifesaver is that it forces you to focus on each and every single thing you put in your mouth all day long. Instead of approaching the idea of eating healthy as a broad topic, focusing on individual healthy items will add up to an entire day that's nutritious and fulfilling.

With an effective calorie counter, you no longer have to wonder how many calories and fat are each item since it will give you a detailed breakdown of every item you input.

You can access and use most calorie counters for FREE which will not only allow you to look up foods in their database for nutritional content, but they will help you determine what an appropriate calorie count would be for your age, gender and weight loss goals.

Better yet, if you have a smartphone that can connect to the Internet like an iPhone, Blackberry, or Android, you can install their free apps and keep these handy calorie counters with you at all times. This can really be the most beneficial part of these tools since we often eat away from the home, therefore being able to input your foods or check the nutritional content on the go can really be a valuable asset in your arsenal to combat weight loss and obesity.

On a number of occasions when I was tempted to purchase a cheeseburger or fried chicken combo from a popular fast food chain, I inputted the meal into my calorie counter and the results I received steered me away from that unhealthy choice. Once I found out about that meal with 1,800 calories, it didn't sound appealing any longer. Maybe this is how a calorie counter will help motivate you.

When you are ready to explore the tools calorie counters can provide, you can do a simple search in Google and browse the top results or if you would like to inspect the two that I use, here are links to their websites. Again, they are absolutely FREE to use.

http://www.MyFitnessPal.com
http://www.MyNetDiary.com

The moment you start using a calorie counter, the program/app will ask you for some basic information in order to get a daily calorie total that will allow you to meet your goals.

For instance, maybe for your age, gender, and body type, in order to lose two pounds of weight per week, you are allotted 1,700 calories per day. With this amount you now have a target to strive for on a daily basis and by using a calorie counter, you can come pretty close to an accurate total for each day.

When you have a specific calorie count to strive for each day, you can then focus on items and meals that will help you stay at or near that amount on a daily basis. If you continue to do this every week, and concern yourself with just healthy choices that will be beneficial and nutritious for your body, you will lose that weight you want to be rid of. Pretty soon you will be saying "My calorie counter is a lifesaver!"

Stimulating Ketosis safely with Raspberry Ketones to Lose Weight

By Natalie Morris

A clinical study conducted in 2010 by the Korea Food & Drug administration found that raspberry ketones support trans acid oxidization. This implies that the fat is broken down and supplied to the body as sugar / energy. Tests have been done giving the supplement together with a fatty diet through which it was discovered that weight gain was stopped.

The intake of raspberry ketone supplements favors a state known as ketosis, note the similarity in terms between "ketone' and "ketosis", since the word has the same etymological origin. Ketosis occurs when liver glycogen stores are burned out. This leads directly to a mechanism called beta oxidation by which fat (triacyglycerol) is processed by the body to provide three fatty acid chains and one glycerol molecule. This process is typically called lipolysis. The trans acids are then transported out of the cells and are metabolized into glucose, giving your body energy and reducing hunger.

In nature ketosis is only activated when liver glycogen levels are exhausted and that is why till now it's been important to strongly constrict carbohydrate intake. By taking raspberry ketones you are artificially prompting a condition of ketosis and so your body will perform the lypolisis although you are eating habitually.

It is vital to adhere to one particular sort of ketones when you have found one that works. This is because of the indisputable fact that the ketones can be grown, cropped, dried and bottled in numerous alternative ways and the effectiveness of the active ingredient can alter a lot . Your constitution can get muddled if you are not consistent in your consumption. Therefore it isn't a good idea to change brands while undergoing the treatment, due to the differing levels of active ingredient, it's reasonable to load up on the brand you've opted to use.

Maybe begin with one brand and assure it works for you, then on the second order make it a bulk one. Special costs are customarily available if you buy in quantity.

If your first selected brand did not give you the necessary result, even after correcting the dose, then its better to wait 6-8 weeks before trying a new type. There are many brands out there and it's troublesome to choose. The best thing to do is refer to a site that compares more than one brand and see who comes out on top.

In some ways raspberry ketones can be thought to be a "miracle fat burner in a bottle". As we announced, basically they prompt lipolysis which is the mechanism of changing fat into energy. That is the reason why, they don't only help you to get rid of the weight but they allow you to feel great also! You can start with the recommended dose and closely observe your weight loss. If you aren't instantly satisfied you can increase the dose until it begins to work on your specific metabolism.

The ketones are the part responsible for the taste and scent of the raspberries and except for them being delectable, they are extraordinarily loaded in a considerable number of other properties. Food For Fat Loss

Vigorous to moderate exercise reduces stomach fat--also called visceral fat-- and helps to prevent the development of excess body fat. Moderate activity is defined as walking, playing soccer with your kids, landscaping the yard, Zumba, or canoeing. Moderate activities slow the rate at which you gain visceral fat, but to reduce the fat around the abdominals your workouts need to be more vigorous.

Burn calories with vigorous aerobic exercise a half-hour three or four times a week. Jogging, speed walking, or workouts on stationary bicycles, stair-climbers, treadmills, or rowing machines strengthen muscle tissue as well as reduce abdominal fat. The objective to achieve is to raise your heart rate for 30 minutes at least three times per week. Increased vascular circulation also helps to eliminate toxins and strengthens the heart, which is also a muscle.

Be sure to check with your health care provider before you begin a new fitness program for additional insight about general health as well as diet or activity suggestions.

If you get to the point to where building muscle and burning fat at the same time is attainable, gradually circuit train three days per week. How can you achieve this? Full body exercises such as lunges, push-ups, and pull-ups for one set of 15 repetitions.

Then jump rope for a minute or two. You should be able to burn around 500 to 600 calories per workout.

As the stomach fat loss begins to make your appearance fitter and trimmer, work on your abdominal muscles three times per week. Crunches and leg raises three sets of 20 repetitions are reasonable. Also, do planks by holding your body in a push-up position on your elbows for 30 to 60 seconds for four sets.

Flavour foods with herbs and spices instead of sodium, or table salt. Sodium increases water retention and weight gain. Hydration, however, is an important health factor so make certain that you have a mineral water, vitamin water, or water from the fountain at all times.

And by all means: "Don't stress!" Stressing or anxiety can potentially cause the over-production of a naturally occurring steroid hormone called cortisol, also formally known as hydrocortisone, which can decrease bone formation, suppress the immune system, increase muscle deterioration, and lead to weight gain around the belly area. So try to stay cool!

Naturally occurring hormones that also contribute to weight loss are leptin and ghrelin. Leptin is a hormone released by fat cells that signal you to eat less and burn more calories. The more active leptin, the more fat you are going to burn. A drastic reduction of calories decreases the leptin and the ability to signal the brain, which makes weight loss more difficult, and slower. The slow rate of weight loss can result in a reduction of calorie intake, and can cause you to eat fewer and fewer calories to get similar weight-loss results. Ghrelin is the hunger hormone that can remain at a high level despite a reduction in calories that your body does not adjust to.

Obstacles to Weight Loss (Part II)

Okay, you are cruising along... eating right, adding some exercise, journaling your progress - doing all the right things. Days, weeks, and months go along and your momentum slows. Hmmmm, you think. I'm looking pretty good, feeling pretty good; maybe I can be a little softer on myself. I don't have to be so religious about following every rule.

You are totally open to this disastrous scenario if you haven't taken this preventive action. But what could be missing from this picture? You've been doing all the right things!
If you haven't done this one thing, you will eventually start to spiral out of control.

What Did I Miss?

It is imperative that you set clear, concise, achievable goals. If you don't have these goals in front of you throughout each day - visible and encouraging - you leave yourself open to disappointing yourself, becoming discouraged, and maybe even giving up. Don't set yourself up to fail! It may be an obvious fix, but it's often overlooked or generalized.

How to Set Clear, Concise, Achievable Goals

First, let's use weight loss as an example. This is something that's haunted me for the last 15 years. Generally I decide, "Okay, it's time. I'm going to lose weight." Off I go on a diet plan (or health plan) - off to lose weight.

This is too general and vague. If you jump into your weight loss escapade with a general, vague goal, how will you know when you reach your goal? This practice also leaves you with a multitude of outs to grab onto if you need them.
A better goal than a generic lose weight, is to add details and be specific. For example:
I intend to lose 60 pounds by August 2013 by eating the foods on my list (make sure you have your choices in writing) and exercising three times a week. I will only focus on ten pounds at a time.
In the above example, I set a total weight amount to lose. I set an achievable end date. I reminded myself that I have a list of acceptable foods that will help me to achieve my goal. I agreed to exercise, but I did not agree to an hour every day. Agreeing to something that may be unachievable will tempt me to quit when I miss a day or two. By agreeing to only focus on 10 pounds at a time, I break up the larger goal into smaller chunks. I don't have to tackle all 60 pounds at once - something that would immediately become overwhelming.

Amazing Concept

Funny how losing weight empowers you to lose more - and gaining weight leaves you emotionally vulnerable to gain more. When you find yourself succeeding, you feel good about yourself and become excited and driven to continue the actions that led to this success. In fact, each positive thing you do helps you stay strong.

When you plateau or succumb to indulgences, you feel bad about yourself, get discouraged, and think negative thoughts that punish you. Who would feel good when treated so badly? Give yourself a break. Accept that you have not achieved your next small goal, evaluate what you may be doing that might contribute to this delay; make a change to shake yourself out of a boring routine.

What Am I Looking For?

Take an honest look at your actions. You've undoubtedly developed a few habits - healthy or not. Being aware of yourself is the key to resolving your slump.
1. When you evaluate your habits and behaviors, check to see if you've slacked off on the actual plan:
  • Did you stop measuring or weighing foods?
  • Have you substituted higher calorie foods?
  • Did you reintroduce high-fat condiments?
2. Where have you softened your values? Is there a place you can tighten up on your behaviors for a week?
  • Look at your exercise routine - is it as strong as it was when you started?
  • Keep a workout calendar and mark every time you work out. A simple X on the date is sufficient. Hold yourself accountable by placing that mark.
  • Skipping a session or two may have led to skipping a week. Recommit to following your plan.
Now take action! You have a plan, you evaluated where it wasn't serving you, and you corrected and altered. You are ready for success!

Putting on Weight and Adrenal Fatigue

By Louise Melton

So how is weight gain linked with adrenal fatigue? There is a subtle balance to be held between the hormone secretion of your adrenal glands and the closely related hormonal emission of the pituitary gland which is in the head. Other glands in the body also secrete hormones. The primary hormone pumped out by the adrenal glands is known as Cortisol, also known as the stress hormone. The more you stress, the more your adrenal glands pump cortisol into the blood stream. Cortisol prepares your body for survival by physically preparing you for a fight or flight scenario.

If you're consistently soliciting your adrenal glands, they may at some point struggle to meet the request. This is similar to when the pancreas can no longer cope with too much sugar in the blood and you become diabetic. When you're in adrenal fatigue you'll have multiple biochemical disparities which could effect all your organs and also effect adversely the way your body stores fat. Also , raised levels of cortisol will make your body store fat in the lower abdomen ( for men ) and on the tummy and thighs ( for females ). This is because as part of your body's "survival strategy" it stores fat thinking you are stressed because you are not finding food! So it kindly helps you not to starve by piling up fat efficiently.

Adrenal fatigue can go from mild to extremely serious. A lot of people find themselves somewhere in the middle of these two poles. The classical mild cases are those folks that typically outline themselves coffee addicts. They find they are not working properly without the utilization of synthesised stimulants such as caffeine, energy drinks or sugar. Of course only some of these folks are suffering from adrenal fatigue but a good number of them are starting to show the 1st symptoms. On the other end we have got the people that are just one stop away from serious depression. The tragedy is that even then they're frequently misdiagnosed and instead of helping the adrenal glands they are simply given anti-depressants which won't cure them but simply ease some symptoms. They will keep feeling tired, craving particular foodstuffs, piling on weight and even having moderate to heavy muscle ache.By taking anti-depressants they will not resolve their invalidating emotional and physical difficulties.

The supplements that treat adrenal insufficiency are often geared to normalizing the levels of the hormone called Cortisol present in the blood.

Cortisol has critical anti inflammatory properties and when the body is externally replaced with cortisol-like substances then the glands have an opportunity to rest and regenerate. Licorice mimics the effects of cortisol in the body and 25-100mg of the extract ( Glycyrrhiza glabra ) are a help in allergies, lengthy fatigue and inflaming pathologies. The extract should not be taken for more than 6-8 weeks at a time and is best taken in the morning and evening, a half hour before meals, in order to mimic the body's natural cortisol rhythm.

Magnesium is the best anti-stress mineral available. Overwork and stress make your body consume large amounts of magnesium and when your body has exhausted it's store you'll feel drained, grouchy and probably suffer with insomnia. Magnesium supplements are readily available over the counter and could be a great hand with reducing the leading health indicators of Adrenal Fatigue and Fibromyalgia.

Ginseng ( Eleuthrococcus senticosus ) is more generally known as a natural supplement for augmenting one's endurance and concentration. However it is also considered to be a great treatment for boosting the immune mechanism and controlling blood sugar levels. In the case of Adrenal Fatigue, the Ginseng acts as an adaptogen, this means it authorizes your body to help in the handling of fatigue, stress and anxiousness. It is normally available in pills.

The Miracle Compound in Pure Green Coffee Extract

By Edna Barry

When you are taking green coffee bean supplement you'll find you are not only losing pounds but you have a lot more energy as the chloragenic acid brings about your body to burn up the fat and release sugar. Hence you will be feeling more energetic and feel less hungry. Fewer calories will be absorbed from the nourishment that you consume because your body's blood sugar level will already be high enough whilst you are digesting.

When choosing a green coffee brand try to get one that's 100 pc natural and organic and read the label to make certain that no additives are there. Sometimes low quality brands add chemicals to the coffee to cover up for the low quality of the product. This is not good as any chemicals might bring complications with them. Green coffee extract mixed with other natural extractions is safe.

High fat diets make you put on weight not only because the body turns excess calories into fat but because the body "treasures" and stores fat as a reserve for the future. When you eat fat, you will only consume that part which your organs need. The rest will be stored. This is different to how the body behaves with sugar and protein, as the body will assimilate less of it when it is abundant. Fat will get stored and unless you force it to turn back into sugar ( via a low calorie exercise or diet ) it will stay.

Green coffee bean extract can safely be utilized in conjunction with other natural weight reduction cures such as apple cider vinegar and green tea. Finding a good brand does make a contribution though as the better brands are careful in selecting only the absolute best coffee beans for formulating the extract. Also some brands add anti-oxidants which aid in fighting free radicals which cause ageing and can lead to cancer.

Some minor effects that have now and then been reported have been mild headaches or slight wooziness. If you're experiencing these symptoms it is advisable to suspend the intake for a minimum of one week without changing anything more ( like sleep patterns and food consumption ) If the symptoms vanish and reappear again when you begin taking the supplement, this may mean you are hypersensitive to the caffeine or to one of the other compounds.

It is recommended however that whilst using pure green coffee for nutritional purposes that you eat in a well-balanced and healthy way. What you eat won't actually effect your weightloss but it will effect your general health. A basic nutrition plan that includes all of your nutritional necessities ( vitamins, carbs, proteins ) will undoubtedly be a lot better for your immunological system and for your general health.

The usual downsides of weightloss thru diet alone are widely known : The daily meals can leave you feeling dissatisfied, the exercise can be exhausting, your private life becomes complicated and usually life becomes harder from a mental standpoint. Additionally, the end results can be awfully scarce and this adds frustration to your trouble. When you're stalling, an "external help" in the form of a supplement can really help.

The great point about green coffee as a diet supplement is that it is really cheap and this means that it is accessible to everybody. Does this make it a second rate product? Definitely not! Green coffee extract is amongst the absolute best diet products available on the market and it has a proved effectiveness. It's just the large worldwide consumption of coffee has made it a product that is widely available and so can be made into an inexpensive remedy.

A Simple Way to Really Lose Belly Fat

Like thousands of other women (and men) who are constantly looking for new ways to get rid of belly fat, I have tried different diets, exercise plans and diet aids. Although I have found that most weight loss methods are based on reducing calorie intake while burning more calories, I have always fallen short of my final goals. This failure comes when my determination and will power fail!

I have always had a sweet tooth and have found it more than a little difficult to pass up a desert. At times, my cravings for chocolate have made me more irritable than anyone else around me was willing to put up with. Unfortunately, I also have a wide family history of diabetes and have slowly been creeping up the charts on my own sugar readings for years.

I would like to say that I realized that my health was more important than my desire to eat sweets or that I finally hit rock bottom with my weight loss attempts. The truth is, I don't know why I have managed to accomplish so much more this time than all the times before but I have been without sugar for months. Maybe it is the fact that a shift in hormones finally went in my favor! Whatever the reason, the results have been amazing so far.

In addition to not eating sugar, I have also reduced the amount of potatoes I eat. I really haven't wanted them like normal so this was an unconscious effort on my part. I am one of those women who purchases clothes two sizes too small so that I am inspired to get into them by losing enough weight. This usually results in my having a lot of clothes in my closet with the tags still hanging on them. But all that changed yesterday.

I was going to a special event that I have been looking forward to for months. I wanted to wear something new and I new that, although I haven't stepped on the scale since I gave up sweets, there is definitely some belly missing. I chose a short wool skirt and jacket (tags still intact), put them on, and wore them to the event!

When I measured my waist a few weeks ago, I had lost two inches from my waist. I don't know how much I have now lost and I am not sure that I will check for a while. I am having too much fun gauging my accomplishments by trying on new clothes.

I know that many so-called professionals and success story authors tell you to weigh a lot in order to keep up with achievements and to address failures. My boyfriend has just lost about twenty pounds and he weighs twice a day. However, for me, not stressing over the details has made this attempt a much easier one.

I have always heard that belly fat was associated with sugar and now I believe it whole-heartedly. I am starting back on my exercise plan in order to help me firm up and I intend to keep ignoring sweets. I am starting to feel better physically and mentally and I can't believe how easy it has been.

For those times when I do want something a little sweet but don't want to indulge, I use sugar-free popsicles, unsweetened fruit cups, individual boxes of raisins or yogurt, with or without fruit and granola added. It's hard to believe weight loss could be so easy.

Read more about topics that matter to women at http://www.herlifeafter40.com. Weight loss doesn't have to be about purchasing the latest exercise machine or diet aids. It is just a matter of finding what is right for you.

Obstacles to Weight-Loss Success (Part I)

Every diet I've ever tried, I've failed at miserably. I start off great - pumped, prepared, and eager to lose. But it doesn't take long for me to derail from the plan and begin cheating. Are you like me? Chances are you've experienced this at some point in your life.

I used to get so angry with myself for not following through; I couldn't understand why my great intentions always ended with defeat. Many experts say that people stuff their feelings with food. But I didn't realize what that feeling was until just recently when I watched my son struggle the same way. It's amazing how clearly we can identify other people's issues (rather than our own). But if I learned something - who cares?

My Biggest Obstacle

What was that feeling that I was stuffing? Be honest - tell me if this describes your attempts to lose weight, or change a habit, or follow a difficult plan. I felt sorry for myself! Yup, it's true. Looking back over my life, my 20/20 after-the-fact vision clearly reveals that I succumb to a pity party every time I have to control my eating.

I'd find myself arguing with, well, myself while I was out shopping:

Strong Self: "Don't buy that treat!"

Weak Self: "Why can't I just have this one?"

Strong Self: "Don't do it!"

Weak Self: "I promise. It'll just be this one." [Note: It's never just the one. That one instigates so much trouble - a downward spiral.]

Strong Self: "What is wrong with you? You do this every time."

Weak Self: "Everyone else gets to eat what they want. Why can't I?" [Really?]

Strong Self: "First, EVERYONE else isn't eating what they want. Second, grow up!"

Weak Self: "My life is so hard right now. I lost my job. I'm discouraged. I just want this treat - there's nothing wrong with that!"

And so it goes.

I got to thinking about why having that one treat became so important. My best guess (and many therapists would probably agree), that I felt so comforted by my mom when I was little and I don't have that now. For some reason pampering myself with treats seems to give me that invisible hug that I crave so much.

Being able to indulge myself takes the sting out of being a grown-up. That other self? That whiny voice sneaks up when I least expect it? The best way to deal with that voice is to PLAN for that voice. Here are some strategies that work for me:

Keep a record: Most people have a smart phone, and if you don't, you probably still have access to paper. I keep a running tally in my smart phone's notepad every time I start to have that annoying conversation with myself. If I give in, I jot it down. Inevitably, whatever I craved so badly and couldn't live without gives me acid reflux, a stomachache, or some other negative side effect. I note that as well. What I've just done is loaded up with ammunition for the next time I whine at myself. I can remind myself how this "treat" impacted the way I feel.

Have a backup: I keep a high-protein bar in my purse and one in my car. I can have that instead - or if I'm still in the store, I can promise myself a compromise if I leave empty handed. This has gotten me out of many close calls.

Dodge and weave: What? I trick myself sometimes - hey, we get desperate! I tell myself that I can rethink this decision after I've completed my shopping. If I'm tempted while driving, I tell myself I can rethink that treat at the next exit - then the next exit, etc.

Distract yourself: I have many ways to distract myself. I phone or text a friend (not while driving), check my social media, I also carry my e-reader everywhere. I no longer worry about standing in line next to the candy display; I'm usually reading my Kindle in the check out. I get so engrossed in what I'm reading that I forget about that craving (until the next time). If I'm driving, I listen to music or instructional mp3s.

And if none of these strategies works, I try one last ditch effort to stop myself:

Face it head on: This is brutal, but necessary to succeed. I ask myself why I am voluntarily, willfully trying to sabotage my own efforts. I remind myself of my goal, of why I want to achieve that goal, and ask myself if that treat is worth giving up on that goal.

And finally, there is always that time that none of this works and I give in to my whining. When this happens, the best thing to do is to love yourself and recommit to your goal. Start fresh the next day.

How Different Body Types Need Different Weight Loss Methods!

Have you ever wondered why there are still so many overweight people in the world? There are many reasons for that, and one of the most common reasons is that most people simply do not have sufficient motivation to lose weight! Weight loss seldom comes steadily, but comes in spurts, and most people give up trying to lose weight if they do not see results within a short period of time. The second most common reason people fail to lose weight is because they are not making use of the right weight loss technique for their body-type! People with different body-types need to make use of different methods to lose weight, and this is exactly what I am going to be discussing in this article.

The first body-type is the ectomorph, which is characterized by long limbs, narrow shoulders and a relatively flat chest. The second one is known as the mesomorph, which is characterized by a strong set of shoulders and naturally muscular for men and an hourglass shape for women. The last body-type is the endomorph, which is identified by naturally high body-fat percentage.

Firstly, people with ectomorph body-types have naturally higher metabolisms, which mean that they burn calories quicker than the other two body-types. An ectomorph can afford to consume more carbohydrates and still get away with it due to their high metabolisms. However, if an ectomorph does not perform any form of exercises, be it body weight circuit exercises or weight lifting, he or she can still be skinny all over but fat in the stomach area! Thus the main thing that an ectomorph should do is to start a weight lifting regime, so as to build up muscle mass.

Next, mesomorphs should find both gaining muscle and losing fats easy. The most important thing a mesomorph should do when on a weight loss journey is to take a balanced approach to both exercises as well as his or her diet. If you are a mesomorph, you should perform both weight lifting as well as interval cardiovascular exercises to lose weight effectively. Also, your diet should have a balanced proportion between carbohydrates, proteins and fats.

Finally, we come to the endomorph. People with this body type should find it hardest to lose body fats. If you fall into this category, do not blame your genetics, as blaming it will not help you lose weight. Instead, concentrate on the steps which are needed to help you lose weight if you have such a body-type. You will definitely have to take minimal to no junk foods at all, and you should also ideally perform higher intensity interval cardiovascular exercises than people with other body-types.
