By Marco Peneda

It is a well known fact that the two most valuable tips on weight loss are keeping our calorie count to a minimum, along with putting more punch into our exercise regimen. If you are trying to drop a few pounds it is critical that you use up more calories by being active all day; then you have consumed. It all falls into place as soon as you reduce your calorie intake and augment your physical fitness work outs. Luckily decreasing the number of calories in your diet is not as big a deal as you might think. Below we will offer a few suggestions on how to reduce your calorie intake in simple but nutritious ways.

You may be surprised to know that just about anything else you drink that is not water has quite a few calories in it. Water is natural and what people drank exclusively a long time ago, and it also is devoid of any calories at all. If you were in a survival situation, then water would be the ideal drink to have.

Think about it for a second: how many calories are included in all of the different beverages you drink during the day? The one thing about soft drinks in the US is sugar has been replaced with high fructose corn syrup which is massively sweet and contains many calories. That could quickly eliminate tons of calories if you tend to drink unhealthy liquids during your normal day. Use smaller dishes when you serve your food. Strangely, this can make a difference. You can just about figure that the look of a large plate filled only halfway will tempt you to put more food on. Space is the issue, smaller means lesser food. You will have a reduced intake of the food you eat on a daily basis. When you choose a plate that is even just a few inches smaller than the plates you normally use, you will be cutting your intake by twenty five percent. You could omit over five hundred calories at every meal using this suggestion.

One point that is not discussed too much is the need for a good night's sleep. It is true that you can burn up a lot of calories with a good night of quality sleep. The next day you will be doing things better such as your work plus you will feel more alert and functional. The real reason that you need to make sure you get enough sleep at night is that the more hours you are awake, the more hours you will be aware of feeling hungry. There are just too many reasons for getting a good night of rest and sleep. Actually, if you are able to make good decisions you will be able to reduce your calorie intake and not need to completely abstain from the foods you really enjoy.

Once you have bumped up your indoor cycling exercise program along with using intelligent eating decisions; the weight will be falling off. It is a good idea to discuss any changes in your daily routine with your doctor or a nutritionist in order to be sure you are taking in enough nourishment to maintain your health and wellbeing. You certainly do not want to take on more than you can handle without realizing it, resulting in ill health.
