The Biggest Enemy Of Dreams

By Evan Sanders

"The worst enemy to creativity is self-doubt." Sylvia Plath

When we start to question ourselves, our whole world starts to fall apart. That's a pretty brave statement, but if we truly dive into the consequences of what happens when doubt crawls into our lives, it truly does happen. We can even take it a stage further in regards to chasing dreams. Since the playing field is even more competitive, and doubt comes into our minds, that's when it truly does trash everything or seems to put a total and complete stop to everything we've ever wanted in this life.

You see, dreams demand everything from you. They demand your full attention, work ethic, passion, integrity, and willingness to sacrifice a great deal to gain them. But when you start doubting your dream and what you're doing in life, you aren't giving it your all.

When you listen to somebody talking of a dream, there's this sense you get from them that they know something is going to really happen in spite of massive amounts of doubt surrounding all of it. There's a built-in sense of belief that roots itself so extremely in that person that they can't even imagine to be defeated. That really is true deep faith.

But when you listen to someone who is talking about their passions, and you get that they may be slightly on edge about it all, you can be pretty sure that they'll never achieve what they set out to do. It's not you're rooting against them, but it's that you know dreams take everything and giving it less than that, well, it just won't work out in any way. So pour yourself into what you love and let doubt vanish from your mind. Others may say it's not practicable but the unthinkable has been achieved many many times throughout history.

Give it a try. Anything could happen.
